In July 2018 we have introduced a new service, which is the preparation of orthophotomaps as well as photos and videos from the drone.
We have all permits to fly drones, both in sight (VLOS) and out of sight (BVLOS).
We can also fly drones with a total mass up to 25 kg (MTOM25).
Below we present the process of creating orthophotomaps on the example of a service made for the State Forests,
in the area of the occurrence of a natural disaster (tree breaks).
1. The first step is to get pictures from the drone. We make them at a height between 80 and 100 meters, depending on what accuracy we want to achieve (3-4cm / px). Then the pictures are put together, we get an orthophotomap with a given reference system.
2. During the process of submitting photos, we also get a point cloud. It will be necessary in the next step to create the Digital Elevation Model (DEM).
3. From the Numeric Terrain Coverage Model, we can read the relative heights of the stand. In this step, depending on the type of stand, we adopt a certain height for healthy and uninhibited trees. It's best to help with a suitably chosen palette of colors.
4. It may also be necessary to apply terrain shading. It allows to highlight the stand state and calibrate the height to which the broken trees reach.
5. The map is then subjected to the reclassification process on the basis of pre-selected amounts. It is also required to be vectorized so that the exact surface of the scrap can be determined.
6. The final step is to verify the results obtained. We check in the designated area whether the designated scrap agrees with the actual state.
7. The final stage is the visual presentation of the results; application of a vector scrap layer on an orthophotomap. By supporting the data from the records, we can calculate the area of scrap for particular sectors and plots. Obtained in this way, data saves a lot of time and is much more accurate than manual determination of scrap, whether by setting points in the field or manually orthophotomap vectorization.
You are welcome to cooperation.
